SCUBA Diving | Bali | Manta Point (Nusa Penida)

Hanging with manta rays while they have parasites chewed off their bodies by fish is awesome. Wait. Ok. I started this all wrong…I’m supposed to put something really meaningful here. Damn. I ruin EVERYTHING.

Honestly, the video speaks for itself. These creatures are so peaceful to watch underwater and will make you feel like a clumsy fool. It’s about a 40 minute boat ride from the main island of Bali over to Nusa Penida and so worth the commute. Please enjoy a video edited down to a mere 1 minute 13 seconds of these water dancers.

My dive log notes: “This place always delivers! Spent nearly an hour hanging out with about 5 huge manta rays at their cleaning station. So majestic and graceful!” Max depth: 10.9M, Lowest Temp: 25C, Dive Time: 52 minutes

Manta Rays are majestic AF. Full stop.
Manta Ray at Manta Point being cleaned
The mantas who come to this point at Nusa Penida are actually being cleaned by the smaller fish. We’re basically being voyeurs and watching while they take a bath and get scrubbed clean of parasites.
